Our God is the perfect lover of the imperfect man, a God of incongruities.

Oh, Lord, just to think
Of another day with You!
It excites and calms
My soul
Both at once.
But You are a God of incongruities,
Aren't You?
You hate the sin
But love the sinner.
You made man in Your own image
And You are perfect
But he is quite imperfect.
You made Your perfect Son
To be made the sin and the perfect sacrifice
For the sins of the whole world.
You know the evil in man's heart,
And yet You love him so much
That there is nothing he can do
To make You love him more
Or love him less.
You are a perfect lover
Of the imperfect man!
