TITLE: God's Ways

God's ways are far above our ways. Sometimes the Lord will test us on our willingness to follw His will no matter how difficult. Yet in the end we win, and God gets the glory!
I have discovered that God’s ways are the best ways,
For in time they will lead us to glorious ‘high ways’.
Honestly too many times I have tried things my way.
My way has always lead me to by-ways, troubled ways,
Obscure ways, and dead end ways.

Yet my way always seem to me to be the best way.
Why did God have to lead me through this trying way?
My way was simple and secure with pleasant paths, and a gentle breeze.

God’s way seems so harsh,
Like walking through a horrid marsh-
The walk is long, progress slow.
I must be careful now, my attitude will show!
“Why this way? my heart cried out!”
“Why this way? I asked in doubt!”

My will would have me skipping along,
I want to sing some joyous song!
I can’t wait I want to shout,
Not a shout of victory-
A shout towards heaven that demands, ‘Why me?’

Why do I have to trudge along?
Why so hard?
This way so long?
Then the answer came to me!

It is what I had said in prayer.
"I will serve you Lord no matter what!
Through pain or gain, through valley low,
It is not for the blessings that you bless me with,
I don’t serve you Lord for glory or show!"

So here I am knee deep in muck,
Nasty, dirty, trying to past this test,
Trusting Jesus because He knows what’s best!
