Until Christ Comes 8/21/08
Changing my ways isn't always easy,
Sometimes it even makes me feel queasy.
But doing the Lord's will is what I want done,
My righteous crown to have finally won.
I know I'll never be holy indeed,
Until Christ comes riding the skies on His steed,
But to live for that, "Well done, my friend," is what,
I want, in the end, my life to have brought.
I won't deal with the Devil on his terms,
And have on my hands his ungodly germs.
To my own God will I every day turn,
For in my heart, my love for Him does burn.
He is my Keeper, My God, my Law,
I offer Him my wonder, my all, my awe.
Before I knew Him I was blessed by His grace,
Now every day I seek only His face.
