When I Can't See 8/15/08
When I can't see the forest for the trees,
I come to You on my unsteady knees,
Asking and begging and praying, just, "Please!"
I know only You know what are my needs.
I trust in the Holy Spirit, so wise,
To read what is in my pitiful cries,
And knowing my Father never denies,
Know that His best I will never despise.
My heart is broken and crumbling inside,
But by His wishes I will abide,
Knowing only that He is my Guide,
And He is more than able to provide.
In this knowledge I find my secure rest,
And in my mind's eye, I lean on His breast.
No longer am I obsessed and distressed,
Knowing His goal is for me to be blessed.
