Arising safe and secure with Jesus early in the morning to keep His Spirit inside all day.
Safe and Secure I Arise 6/19/08

Your angels glide swiftly
Upon their morning wings,
To show me the day
That Jesus Christ brings.

A new day is dawning,
So crisp and so fresh,
I go to the Spirit
To give Him my flesh.

To see the sun rising
To give the day it's light,
Shows the Lord's own gleaming
With His Holy might.

The ground wet with dew,
The night in repose,
What the day holds ahead,
I can only suppose.

But I won't jump ahead
Of God's ways untold,
Only wait to see what
His day will unfold.

I love the surprises
As He brings forth the day,
Making known His desires
In simple ways.

He won't make me dip
Down deep in His mind,
His will and His wants,
To seek and to find.

He places before me,
Quite straightforward and plain,
The way to His heart,
His kingdom to gain,

To trust in Jesus
With all of my heart,
Follow His Spirit
To do my own part.

Safe and secure I arise,
For the new dawning day,
For to Jesus I've gone,
With Him I have prayed.
