Prayer for my best friend who is suffering physically and mentally, as well as all who suffer.
For Debra Lee 6/25/08

Please don't let Your precious one suffer,
In dire pain and agony!
I bring her before You right now,
Before the Awesome Trinity!

Raise her up in Your loving arms,
Comfort her in her misery.
Let her know that You are watching,
And are about to set her free.

Give her the hope of freedom at last,
Of Your wonderful working powers.
Let her know You give beauty for ashes,
To grasp hold of in the long, dark hours.

Let her not forget about You, Christ,
The torture You suffered on the Cross,
To save the hurting and the poor,
So that none may ever be lost.

Brighten her day with the glory of You,
To not focus on where she is now,
But to give her a greater perspective,
Than her present circumstances allow.

This I beg in Jesus' Most Holy name,
For a friend who I love so dear,
For You to touch her with Your saving grace,
To remind her that You are near.
