We are strong in our weakness through Christ. Our trials and temptations are His invitations to shine His glory in our lives and to the world.
Until He Brings Us Home 5/24/08

It is only in the trials of our afflictions,
That we can see the brighter side of our better days.
And in the thorny vex of our temptations,
That we can make the choice to go the other way.

Had we not been tried and tempted in every way,
We would not need our Lord, Our God, to be the One
We turn to in the morning and throughout the day,
And give our thanks to at the setting of the sun.

So be grateful for every time you're tempted and tried,
For each difficulty that passes through your life,
For this is why our Savior came to us, lived and died,
So that He could be your strength within your strife.

It is mostly when we see our deep, dark need for Him,
That we cry out for His best glory to be seen.
And with every big and little time we see our sin,
We bow humbly for grace and mercy before our King.

For it is only in HIm that we can be strong,
Weakness is all we have of ourselves all alone,
But with Jesus we can sing a victory song,
And He will keep us safe until He brings us Home.
