Get Up to God 4/28/08
Arise early in the morning
And begin your journaling
To Almighty God, the Father,
Who wants you to take the bother.
He's waiting to see you write,
So He can give you His insight,
Your paper can be your temple,
Your personal, private bible.
Greet Him in His glory!
He wants to hear your story,
But first give Him thanks and praise
For giving you all your days.
Thank Him for all that He's done,
All the battles for you He's won.
Thank Him for waking you up,
And He will fill up your cup.
Thank Him for all that He's doing,
For all the things you're viewing,
For what's going on in your life,
Be it blessings or be it strife.
The good things are all gifts from God,
Even the things that seem flawed,
For from them a lesson He'll teach,
That you might not otherwise reach.
Talk with Him as a Friend,
His ears are always there to bend.
He's as concerned about the small,
As He's concerned about it all.
There's nothing you can't bring
To the attention of the King,
For all of your cares are His,
He is there for you to quiz.
With paper and pen in hand,
You step into holy land,
Where your most private thought and care
You bring to God to make aware.
As you begin to write, it will flow,
And right to God's heart it will go.
Some things you did not know exist
Will show up in writing your list.
And sometimes God answers you there,
Gives a clue, makes you aware,
Of something that's been on His mind,
That otherwise you wouldn't find.
It's a mysterious process;
With God you can expect no less,
But the wonders I have found there,
Are beyond words, cannot compare.
My time with Him has brought you this,
It's something that no one should miss,
You see how God has brought the words,
See for yourself the rewards!
