TITLE: Fish Scaled Eyes By C L 04/13/08 |
|
Like Saul in the ancient days,
When he looked into the sky,
He could not see a thing,
He only saw a dull pale light,
Nothing more,
Nothing less,
As he waited for the scales to fall,
He sat quietly,
He slipped away,
Into a daydream,
He dreamed of his sight,
He wanted it back so bad,
For days now he had,
Scales on his eyes,
Nothing to end,
This misery,
Until he came to reconcile,
With the fact,
The fact that he was unkind,
Then a day passed,
And he said to himself,
“I am,
I am uncaring,
Unkind indeed,
I wish to be kinder…”
As the words flowed out of his mouth,
A miracle,
His eyes,
Were free,
No more scales,
No more blindness,
He was a new man,
Like Paul.
