When I was a teenager, I was suicidal and wrote a lot of poems about death and dying and then I just quit writing. Now that I have a close relationship with the Lord, just before Christmas, in my morning journaling time with Him, He started blessing me with poetry for His honor and glory to bless others with and that is what this poem is about.
Over and Over 2/24/08

You bless me
Over and over again
As You bring the words
Out of my heart and soul.
They are not there
For my keeping,
But for my serving You.
I feel like a spring
Of Your Living Water
That has lain dormant for years.
And now
Only You
Have opened the well
For Your life
To come bubbling forth.
It is all of You,
Not of me,
That flows onto the page.
Burst forth, my Lord,
I'll not hold back
That which you give to me.
The blessings You give
Are to bless others with
And that
Is how it shall be.
