TITLE: Where the Wind Will Gently Rock Me By Tara Rolfes 01/18/08 |

Where the Wind Will Gently Rock Me...
Where the wind will gently rock me,
where the rain will kiss my face–
where the clouds will shroud o’er me
It’s here in this moment I will wait.
For when the darkness tries to hide me
and what the blinding lightening seeks to destroy
I know that a humble cry is all You plea
and Your sainted angels You’ll faithfully deploy.
When I’m in the depths of a rain season’s drought
and I’m fleeing with out a place to go...
when I’m screaming out what I’m forgetting about
And searching for the answers that still say no--
I’ll look up, and begin to remember the stars,
and their beautifully hidden intricate meanings
Cast out the shame of a thousand scars
as I’m safely sheltered in the shadow of Your being.
And as I wait for you, my soul patiently waits,
so here I am waiting, contemplating
would You still be here if I hadn’t asked?
For You know my deepest secrets
You know the tales my soul hath masked
and though I am nothing, You always take me back
There is no greater love than that.
I know that loving your enemies is supposed to help
tying up the loose ends that are all a fray...
But, how can I do this when simply loving myself
is a task I have to conquer everyday?
Where the wind will gently rock me,
where the rain will kiss my face–
where the clouds will shroud o’er me
It’s here in this moment I will wait.
So, here I simply am falling– waiting
on Your mysteries that have yet to be shown..
Arms out stretched towards Yours, anticipating...
– and now I’ll never be alone.
