TITLE: Granny’s Prayer By Rebecca O'Connor 09/12/07 |
|
Granny prayed for us day and night
She fought the battles that weren’t by sight
Granny could fight on bended knee
The greatest warrior in prayer was she
Time passed by in the vigil of prayer
But I fell into the enemy’s lair
I walked through the valley in shadow of death
But she kept her faith to the very last breath
Granny has finally finished her course
But her prayers lived on with amazing force
I can still hear how the prayers sound
For once I was lost but now am I found
I wonder if she heard the angels rejoice
Because I am safe for I made the right choice
No more a base sinner with a heathen’s label
Angel cried, “Set one more place at the table!”
