I reminisce about past loves. Curious if any were true.
If so why are they not here. How can we dissolve all the
Feelings this one word can create.
It gives a feeling of joy and happiness that is unrivaled.
Yet it’s pain leaves a more heartfelt impression.
So many conditions go with this one word.
If true, does it not mean unconditionally.
Each failed attempt leaves a scar.
If a scar is left does that mean it was not love.
Eventually creating a reluctance to try again.
Over time I finally realized I was looking in the
Wrong place to find true love
There is one who knows the meaning of true love.
A love that is always there. One that no matter what
Will it ever dissolve. It is unconditional.
It gives a feeling no words can describe.
It causes no pain or leaves a scar. A love so strong
That forgiveness heals the pain and scars you leave on it.
This love is never reluctant to try again. He who carries this
Love died to prove how true it was.
Now I know when searching for love to
Get on my knees and look up.
