TITLE: Somewhere New By Terry Richesin 03/24/07 |

I’ve always known, believed I wasn’t alone.
As a kid from a chaotic home still I believed in
something more. I would cry for you to hear me,
for you to cure me to take me with you, for you to
hold me. Screaming for you to take me somewhere
new. I would when I was young. I would ask you
full of tears: how and why could a father be so
cruel to his only son.
In response as a kid so young I never felt at that
time I got one. I would beg for you to cure me,
take me with you, for you to hold me. Screaming
for you to take me somewhere new. Now that I’ve grown.
realizing everything occurs for a reason, I still do want
you my Jesus, to take me somewhere new.
