this poem is about precious life
Down from the heavens
a soul arrives
it lingers above its home
a precious spirit
awaits its place
in a world to him unknown
he was sent from God
to full fill his plan
to take his place on earth
he fills the womb
to keep him safe
until his time of birth
a shell has formed
it surrounds him now
he can hear his mothers
heart
he wants to see his
his mothers face
he wants his life
to start
he tosses and turns
he pushes and kicks
and screams that he wants
to come out
but human hands
that intervene
change his fate
forsake his screams
they close the door
that brings him life
they steal his dreams
his God given right
