TITLE: The Blessing By Linda L Creech 10/29/06 |
|
Morning raced across dawn’s face
catching vapor trails
left by something greeting
a new day.
It smeared cotton white clouds
with orange pink hues
that journeyed far
spreading pristine views.
Of course it was the eagle’s flight
that caught my eye,
for who would rise so early
but this regal
sentinel of grace
who but he,
would have the courage
to face
time and space with silent revery,
wings spread wide.
It is his silent prayer
each dawn to use the gifts
bestowed upon
his outstretched wings
to bless another day.
