 SEND ARTICLE TO A FRIEND
If only we could all see through the eyes of a child.
If children played
beneath the sea,
picked the bright anemone,
hid among sunken ships,
swam with mermaids,
laughed with fish

could they glide
with dolphins then,
call on Neptune
as a friend?
Could they watch
a sea horse race,
or share an octopi
embrace?

If children played
among the stars,
rode on comets off to Mars,
sprinkled moonbeams,
dusty things,
painted Jupiter's bright rings

could they live
a different life,
free from worry, hate
and strife?
Could they make
a peaceful place,
without regard to
church or race?

If children played
as children do,
our world each day would
be renewed.
Each person met
would be a friend
our hearts would sing
at each day's end.
