TITLE: Gone Without a Trace By Melinda Young 08/12/06 |
|
The man they call Christ;
The one they arrested,
Mocked, and crucified.
There is no doubt;
He was placed in that grave.
But now believe it or not,
He's gone without a trace.
He warned us;
He said this would happen,
That not even death
Could end his reign.
They took a chance
On denying His truth;
Now they have nothing
In this world to show for it.
They had seen
His miracle work first hand;
How could they not think
He was capable of this?
Yes, he allowed his own murder,
A painful, temporary death
In which he dealt with my debt
And he was buried in the grave.
Three days in this tomb
He was kept in solitude,
Now it is seen why he died
On that tree for me.
True love was displayed,
So just like he
My sins were erased,
And gone without a trace.
