How do you view the shadow of Christ?
As a nuisance, seeing your every move;
Never to cease, always to linger?
To wander behind, as you try to escape,
As you try to flee from the follower?


How do you view the shadow of Christ?
As a protector seeing days ahead and blocking pain behind;
Never to leave, always present?
To be a constant companion as you try to embrace,
As you try to trust that He knows what’s best?


How do you view the shadow of Christ?
As your very being, attempting his selfless ways;
Never to surrender, always to imitate His every act?
To remain new to him, as you flee from this world,
As you follow his every move for the sake of spreading his offer?


Is your life but an exact following of Him?
There is no better way of life
Than to know his next move and complete it just for him.
