TITLE: Ocean Crashing By Jeremy Iman 08/10/06 |
|
Thunder rolling, tempest tolling, slashing with liquid swords
Stormy splatter, men all scatter, like ants on the ragged boat
Lightening flashes, in jagged gashes, above them as they float
Waves still falling, voices calling, “Was He lost within the plight?”
Minds start thinking, Hearts start sinking, in the dark and hopeless night
All start searching, in rhythmic lurching, as the boat rocks to and fro
Fiercely creeping, they find Him sleeping, while the wicked west wind blows
Hands start tapping, “We find you napping? The ship is going down!”
Eyes awaken, steps are taken, “I’d never let you drown.”
Arms were raised, men left amazed, and the wind ran out of breath
“Be still O sea, adhere to me.” And all were kept from death
“Where was your trust? Gone with the gust?” He asked while lying down
Two inches tall, they stood in awe, all being safe and sound
“Who is this man? With mere command, wind and sea obey His call?”
The sun shown bright, and brilliant light fell down upon them all.
Ocean rested, faith was tested, but they began to understand
Through death and birth, both man and earth, fall under His command
