TITLE: Are We There Yet? By Melinda Young 08/03/06 |

This impatient heart wonders each day
What the outcome of days to come will be.
Oh, how I want to take things into my hands;
Still, I know the waiting I soon will understand.
Yet sometimes I long to ask,
Father, are we there yet?
I don't think I can wait anymore.
Please take my hands and lead;
For I can't wait to see
What exactly it is You have in store for me.
I await your plan for this surrendered life,
This mystery that unravels daily.
In my heart I know that growing closer to You
Will reveal the story of my life according to You.
I must know,
Father, are we there yet?
I don't think I can wait anymore.
Please take my heart and lead;
For I can't wait to see
What exactly it is You have in store for me.
As the times pass
And the slow turns to fast,
My life will remain Yours.
I stand in awe of the things we've endured.
I long for the day
I can understand Your ways.
When that day comes
No longer will I need to know
Father, are we there yet?
