TITLE: Come to Me By Melinda Young 07/11/06 |
|
Still, oh, my soul sings for joy,
Never again to sink into despair, but to soar into victory.
I just can’t understand your ways, Lord;
Yet, somehow they are what is best.
They must be, otherwise how could I feel such security?
I run from pain, only to find more;
I run to you and find a blessing in disguise.
Life before you was an endless race
With nothing but fear in my eyes.
Now rests a light of love
Shining from your presence
Into the depths of my often-neglected heart.
Don’t leave, never leave;
You are all I have and all I will ever need.
I’m here, humble with fear;
Please come to me.
I am so in need of your touch, your fire;
Come to me, Come to me Lord.
I’ve searched for answers;
Nothing found.
You know what I need, what to do;
Do what it takes, oh Lord.
Nothing will restore me but you, Jesus;
Nothing in this world will do.
Nothing will restore me but you, Jesus;
Nothing loves me like you.
