If I was in control of this fleeting life I have,
I would certainly surrender it.
For the fact exists that we never have control;
Only one of two can own that privilege.

Both can alter, both can control;
One can annihilate, one can liberate,
One can manipulate, one can separate;
Separate you and the addictions of the foe at hand
Who swallows you the more he is served.

You must follow one; there is no release of this.
Yet, the offered decision is the choice of which one.

The Freedom Giver’s invitation stands.
His road isn’t easy.
His way of living, not popular,
But His conviction keeps you conscious
And unexpectedly in control.
