TITLE: Passage to Oblivion By Jennifer Leonard 06/24/06 |
|
You close your eyes to an unknown world,
I sit and pray for your deliverance.
Robbed of precious memories, you grasp
for some semblance of the past.
Unfamiliar faces, but once you knew,
Eyes so like your own weep quietly.
Slow, agonizing descent.
Agony rages in your listless eyes,
the passageway to oblivion.
