Wrapped in fragile flesh,
Something surging deeper still-
Past the surface scars of passing years.
Beating beneath this borrowed shell
The heartbeat of
Creator.
And all the time I stand
Delighting in
Exteriors
You dwell within.
I Am.
Crafting with acacia and gold.
Interiors I cannot see.
Weaving wonder through my weary world
Internally initiating Life
Sewing into this monotony
Seams of precious gems in darkest grey
Threads of blue and purple merging through
Scarlet shards of dreams the world forgot
For what you build I cannot see
Or break down with my clumsy ‘skill’.
And while I’m counting cubits desperately,
You’re setting out a blueprint for my days.
