Let your hair fall Esther,
let it cascade, dark and soft
over your shoulders.
I have a finity of answers;
I can tell of the soft pinkness
I see in your mouth,
the depth of your eyes,
the way your blouse whispers the shape
beneath its clouded white veil,
your neck revealed from the dark cloak
of your hair.
Let your hair fall Esther,
let it cascade, dark and soft
over your shoulders.
Silently draw the string from the blouse,
let that silken whisper
fall from its caressing touch.
Reveal another mystery.
Let your hair fall Esther,
let it cascade, dark and soft
mingling to your breasts.
The last few moments, before the darkness,
are mine and yours;
the crown of the evening
in the treasure of day.
Come,
let me picture your lips,
let me echo your eyes.
Sadly, you’ve turned,
entwined in the strands of unanswered words,
leaving me silvered
and without reflection.
