A reflection of the God given gift of a baby and the responsibility to help that baby grow close to Jesus.
How hard it must be
to look down upon that sleeping babe
and know the life that lies before -
the plans You have
the days ahead
which You ordained
which You have blessed.

How hard it must be to entrust
each perfect babe to those on earth
and watch the struggles as they come
and see the rights and grieve the wrongs.

How heart wrenching it must be
to look down upon that sleeping babe
and know that as he grows and learns
that he may choose to go astray
to walk away from all Your love.

Please bless him Lord
and hold him close
Oh let him see Your Glorious face
and do not ever let him go
but help him learn and help him grow.

And teach us Lord what we must do
to keep him safe
to keep him true.
