Target audience is Christians!
How I would have loved to see their faces
on that day when they had prayed and yelled
and raved and chanted
yet nothing happened by their gods
the wood still there
the blood still wet

And then Elijah, man alone
just said the prayer and it was done
the sacrifice and wood consumed
Your name displayed
no questions asked

How I would have feared Your awesome Name
if I had been a priest upon that hill
and known that I had been deceived
all others gods were worthless lumps of stone

Your power came and showed the truth
and for the priests it was too late
their lives were claimed and they were dead
no opportunity to change

How I would have loved to hear them chant
and know that truth had been revealed at last
Each person fell upon their face and said,
"The Lord indeed is God.
The Lord indeed is God."
