Thank you for your honest appraisal.
“Will you take John?” the Pastor asks.
“Yes, I do.” chirps the she-bird.
"Will you take Lucy?"
"Yes," almost inaudibly "I do," said the he-bird
Wide smiles, white lace, and shining eyes filled with hope and tears
Today spells the end of aloneness. Now they are no longer alone.
Two love birds in one nest.

In a small yet beautiful home of rooms filled with love,
They begin their life together.
Weeks turn to months, and months turn to a year.
Sweet memories are made and the future springs on.
Like a fragrant garden, fed with water and sun,
so their loving home thrives in the light of the Son.

In a year, there's the sound of small running feet.
A child so full of promise and hope for their heritage,
They nurture the bonds, they rear up their young.
For soon more children are born, two boys and a girl,
Blessed, they celebrate each day as a gift from Yahweh.

Sweet time and more years roll by. The lovebirds chirp on.
Some realities loom and losses come.
The love changes shape, still, it stays strong and unwavering.
Now life's less about lace and more about strength.
Finances and Church play such big roles.
In lives committed to honouring their Maker.

Each day they give thanks as they hold hands and pray.
The balancing of bills can wipe some joys away.
They remember their Source as they manage resources,
and give back to the Lord as Paul said to do.
Training up children in the way they should go
Keeps them alert and often on their knees.

Their toddlers are no more.
Elementary school days have begun.
Working and living by love's rules is challenging.
They are still loving each other and plan to for always.
"Marriage is honourable and the bed undefiled."{Hebrews 13:4}
They thank God for a strong church and youth leaders in the Word.


Never thinking of doing anything else except loving,
they make plans for the future and keep making ends meet.
Seeking always to set good examples for their children
and taking time each day for family prayer.
‘So love birds, remember Pastor's words!'
Yes, remember that "Will you take?" means "We do, and forever!"
