I don't know what causes greed. The bible says the love of money is the root of all evil. This statement still doesn't tell us what causes greed. The only viewpoint I have is from the other end. I have been affected by someone else's greed. The cause I can't say. I don't know the hearts of the other people. The effect caused me to loose everything I put into my project. It caused discouragement followed by many questions. What was I going to do? How was I going to start over? The biggest question of all. Will I forgive those who did me wrong. The answer Yes. I have forgiven them. It is my opinion that greed never looks at the affects it has on others. This is because the main driving force is selfishness. I wonder if this is why we are told to esteem others better than ourselves. When we see others as we see ourselves; we see through a different window. We see what many call the ripple effect. The issue is the ripple effect works whether negative or positive events caused it. Greed causes a person to be blind to anybody but themselves. Greed never ends well because the person can never get enough. It is chase that never ends and is never satisfied. This chase leaves destruction and hurt people in it's path. The lesson I learned in all of this is Greed only has the power we give it.
