O blind Bartimaeus
Was mine blind heart.
All I could see was darkness,
And so I groped in the dark.

O blind Bartimaeus
Mine heart tired of the darkness
And cried out in the dark;
“I want to see Light”.

O blind Bartimaeus
“We know thine heart is blind,
So shut up and disturb Him not,
But remain thou in darkness”.

O blind Bartimaeus
“What does thine heart want?”
“To see Thou and Thine light!”
“Now see”, and mine heart saw Jesus!
