TITLE: Dr. Revitalizer (parody of Move Your Dead Bones) By Jacob Gibson 09/16/09 |
|
C'mon!
Revitalize your feet!...
I've looked inside your heart and found emptiness and sorrow
Your soul is dead, your life makes no sense
And you say you've always felt this as long as you remember?
Those pills you took were all a pretense
If you'll take some of my blood and inject it in your veins
You'll feel more alive than you ever could explain (OR You'll feel so reborn it will fully shock your brain?)
Your eyes will soon be opened, your heart will be brand new
A new mind is transforming (remaking?) you, you, you!
(chorus)
Move your dead bones bones bones (x2)
My sacrifice makes you alive
Move your dead bones bones bones (x2)
You'll praise God the rest of your life
Move your dead bones bones bones (x2)
The Spirit will jolt you alive
Move your dead bones bones bones (x2)
You'll praise God the rest of your life
Revitalize your feet!...
Don't worry 'bout a payment, that won't be necessary
This heart transplant requires no fee
Your faith is all that's needed to make my grace revive you
And repentance to set your soul free
Please tell all your family and friends that need my aid
I'll revitalize them, no need to be afraid
I am the way and life, all that's ever real and true
Eternal life is waiting for you, you, you!
(chorus)
Revitalize your feet!...
Revitalize your feet!
(first half of chorus)
Revitalize your feet!

Two more things I'd like to mention. First, I wanted to change the chorus but couldn't think of a new one that would sound as good as the original. Second, if you're interested in Christian parodies of popular music I highly recommend you give ApologetiX a listen, especially Bethlehemian Rhapsody. Good stuff!
