Wisdom


Wise is he who learns to be humble.
Wise is he who remains teachable.
Wise is he who plans and is discipline to follow thru.
Wise is he who gives graciously,
Without expecting anything in return,
For he knows the pleasure comes from giving.
Wise is he who is happy to take advice
And then carefully selects what serves him.
Wise is he who lives in the now,
Without regretting past failures,
Or worrying about days to come,
For he knows today is all we have.
Wise is he who takes the time to discipline his child
For he knows he’ll reap a harvest in due time.
Wise is he who is able to focus on his goals,
He who concentrates on building up his character
While at the same time helps others do the same,
Concentrating on the things that matter and are lasting
Instead of wasting precious time accumulating stuff
For he knows consumerism is a distraction
Of the world we live in.
He realizes the race is not against others
But against himself.
He can only compare himself to the person he was yesterday
And always try to be better than the old self.
Wise is he who remains positive in all situations
Understanding that even though you can’t change your circumstances
You can always change your approach to them.
Wise is he who seeks wisdom
For that’s the ultimate treasure.
