THERE IS A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE
In his book “In Pursuit of Purpose”, renowned author and speaker, Myles Munroe explains the significance of time in fulfilling purpose with the example of a pregnant woman. Parents are joyful when a happily-married daughter announces the imminent arrival of her first child. The preparation to welcome the new child is usually a period characterized by hope and celebration by the parents and grandparents. However, the contrast is the result when the mother-to-be is a sixteen year old girl. Parents are usually disappointed at the daughter facing motherhood. The arrival of the child comes with fear and apprehension about the future. The explanation for the difference lies in the concept of timing.
God has a timetable for the accomplishment of your life assignment. Time is given for the fulfillment of purpose. Your destiny is a combination of interrelated tasks. Each task is supposed to be achieved at a specific point in time. The achievement of each task opens the door to the next one, culminating in the realization of destiny. Knowing what to do is not the sole ingredient for a meaningful existence. What takes higher premium is knowing when to do what to do. The right action at the wrong time can birth frustrating results. However doing the right thing at the right time is always a profitable business.
Every God-given instruction has a deadline. A time when it is destined to be executed. A time when it is the perfect step to take. Successful people do not only know the right thing to do but also know when to do the right thing.
