A CONVERSATION WITH GOD

“Be Still and know that I am God…” (Psalms 46: 10a)


Be still? But I don’t have time. Not in this day and age. How can I? I’ve got to go…

“…and know that I am God.”

Know? Be still and know? You mean I really can, God? But, gee! How?

“Be still…”

OK! I’m still. So what do I do now? Wait? Wait --- that must be it. Wait for God to
make himself known. Do I really expect God to do that?

Expect? Yeah! No sense waiting unless I expect God to do it. But if I expect Him to then I would have to have faith wouldn’t I?

Me? Faith? I don’t think I can.

“…and know that I am God.”

Do you mean I can have that much faith, God? You said that if I’d be still I could know. You believe that I can.

Wow! I’m going to be still and wait, and expect, and…
