A prayer for God's protection
For His mercy and His grace
A prayer to feel His presence
As you move from place to place.
A prayer for peace and safety
When war is all around
And a prayer for God's own blessing
As you stand on foreign ground.
And a prayer for safe returning
When your mission there is done
So that every son and daughter
May surely come back home.
