Step out of the boat

You and I together
hand in hand
side by side,
submitted to each other
the throne our healer,
the Holy Ghost our teacher
You and I can endeavour
you and I together
to march forward
raising the banner of Freedom
Singing the songs of Salvation,
to the nations seeking leaders
You and I can lend a hand
You and I can give a smile
You and I can befriend
the friendless
And feed the homeless
to change this land

You and I can endeavour
to give the world a facelift
In our walk
and in our talk
we can leave a legacy
of footprints
For we are the ambassadors
of Change-
we are the forerunners of Truth
we are the spokespersons of Hope
we can do all things
through Christ
who strengthens us,
But we got to step out of the boat
We got to
step out and
not wait to be told
We got to
take initiative
for our dreams to unfold
We have to
conquer our fears and
choose to be bold

and as we step out
as we reach out
pushing new frontiers
possessing ground
in every facet
of life
to become pioneers
laden with the passion
of His Word
laden with the joy
of His love
You and I can direct our energy
to inspire change
within humanity
you and I
can direct our energy
to inspire change
within our families
we embrace the stranger
with a hug
we face our fears
and show our enemies love
to touch the world
and change its face

we don’t need platforms
to be seen
we don’t need microphones
to be heard
we are the new breed
of creative minds
using our talents
to shift
paradigms.
