We will get there one day,
Wherever there may be,
Someday to own two pairs of shoes,
maybe even three.

Someday, not just to make it work.
Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Someday ,one day, perhaps there’ll be,
enough to do it all.

Until then Lord, we bow our heads,
Pray to make it through,
Rejoice for everything we have,
Blessings all from You.

I know there are some starving,
Without a roof at night.
I know there are some lacking,
The gifts of sound and sight.

I know there are some beaten Lord,
Unable just to Stand,
and I know You are watching,
and all of this is planned.

So I raise my hands to You,
Forgive the self in me.
For we are rich beyond the world,
and we have eyes to see,

We will get there one day,
and if not, ‘C’est la Vie’.
I need not the trappings of this world.
Just ‘The Word’ ,
and You,
in me.
