We die, under the water, in the fount
dying to sin, to our births, our lives
dead to the world
Up out of the waters, we rise
born anew, adopted,
spiritual beings, in the likeness of man
Walking, set apart, in the world
under the water we die,
we rise with Christ,
He who took away death’s sting
