Poetry
We fear that God might let us down
We therefore decide to play it safe
By choosing another option
In case He does not intervene
We hope God will act on our behalf
But we cover ourselves in case he doesn’t
I am guilty of this fear…
I am guilty of this sin
I am guilty of ignoring His Blood
We fear that we might let Him down
We therefore decide to pretend and
Act as if we are holy
We therefore decide to play it safe
By choosing another option
In case we do let Him down
We hope that we will not let Him down
But we cover ourselves through our material possession
We hope our dress code and the car we drive will cover our sin
But we forget that faith pleases God
We all are guilty of this fear…
We all are guilty of this sin
We all are guilty of ignoring His Blood
Faith in God the Father is critical to Christianity

Fear always leads to inaction, and then to apathy. God called us not for fear but for courage, to move forward and take the harvest with force, "forceful men advancing". Great reminder and inspiring poem.
