"From the fruit of his mouth a man's stomach is filled; with the harvest from his lips he is satisfied."(Proverbs 18:20)
Over and over Proverbs speaks of the importance of our words. The "fruit of his mouth" and the "harvest of his lips" indicates that the very words a person speaks have power to provide for that person. Isn't that the image of God, who spoke the creation into being? We are his children, so is it so strange that we too can affect the physical world with our words. Too often people live in the poverty of "trash talk" when God has made them to live in the bounty of wise words. Watch your words, be blessed.
