OVER SAN ANTONIO,
TEXAS.]
[TOUCH THE SHADOW
OF A PLUMP POSSUM
SILENTLY SKITTERING
ACROSS THE PATH
BEHIND A HOUSE IN
THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY.]

"Is it my TONE'A VOICE?"
(Squint up at ceiling.)
"My HANDS-STANCE?"

"What is that,

"Ya KNOW: my HAND-
POISE!"

"Ah.
