The LORD abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight. (Proverbs 11:01)
In a time when there was little dependable coinage much commerce was accomplished by weighing precious metals. A dishonest person could try to cheat those he did business with by having weights that gave him an advantage. Heavier than marked when he was buying, lighter than marked when selling. In other words he cheated his customers. God hates such dealing, and delights in integrity in your affairs. Cheaters never win in the eternal perspective. God knows!
