I have been good
since I was a child

I've NEVER lied or stole
I don't know how

I've NEVER coveted
my friends posessions

I've NEVER worshipped anything
or had an obsession

I honor my parents
so that I may live long

LORD! TELL ME
WHAT DID I DO WRONG?

With all my adherence to the law
I feel left out when others are called

THEY seem so LOWLY, quite different from me
THEY have little possessions, hardly anything

Give me instructions, what must be done?
Shall I let go of everything and everyone?

Shall I study your ways and follow you?
MASTER MASTER THAT'S SO HARD TO DO!!

I have sold all I have, put my life down
All I want to know is CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
