My father’s love, like a jewel rare
Sparkles with brilliance, in his eyes so dear
His comforting touch and the smell of his hair
Helps soothe my pain and takes away my fear.

If only I could but find a way
To say thank you Dad for each loving day
But all I can do is pray he may
Feel the love in my heart my words can’t say.

My father’s strength is my armour
To protect me from harm and give me shelter
He comforts me when the going gets harder
As he lovingly cradles my head on his shoulder.

I know how difficult for him it must be
To be constantly worrying and caring for me
He has sacrificed so very much already
To ensure his son will always be happy.

If only all handicapped kids could be this lucky
To have a Dad who loves so unselfishly
Then this world would be a much happier place
With my loving Dad setting the pace.
