Kislev 21, 6 B.C. : The Jerusalem Herald is reporting in today’s editions the arrival of Ayatollah Abdul Naseer, Astronomer Dr. Wazir Khan, Senior Shiite Cleric Kubaisi Ani, and Persian Deputy Minister of State Hamza Mohammed. Their vast caravans and numerous attendants arrived last evening, and they were said to be searching for “the king of the Jews.” Dr. Khan reported seeing a “sign” in the heavens, a “star” that lead them from Persia to Jerusalem. Ayatollah Naseer has been researching the text of Numbers 24, where verse 17 states, “...a Star shall come out of Jacob, a Scepter shall rise out of Israel.” (NKJV.)

The story is spreading around Jerusalem like wildfire. The report out of the Temple this morning is that the Pharisees, scribes and priests are in an uproar over the arrival of the uncircumcised Magi, and what their "sign" could possibly mean. High Priest Ben-Simeon was quoted by an unnamed source as saying, “Who are these deluded Gentiles who think Yahweh has ignored His own Rabbis to speak to them? Their audacity to come here telling us about our heir and about Yahweh’s guidance...” There was no official statement from King Herod’s Palace, but an anonymous source from the throne room said, “A baby born King of the Jews? This is treason!” However, later in the day an official statement was released by the
King's Office of Public Affairs. It said, “King Herod looks forward to discovering the whereabouts of the King of the Jews, so he too can worship the precious child.”
