Once upon a time, in a certain town named Laodicea, there lived a man named Mr. Warm. He was a wise man that had experienced and seen great revivals & moves of the Spirit in his life-time. He had fought and won many battles for the Lord and had been greatly blessed by the Lord. Towards the end of his life, when he had grown old, he became lukewarm and was called Mr. Warm because he was no more zealous for the Lord. But unknown to many, he had a secret heart-desire for revival. He despised the name – 'Mr. Warm' and desired a better name.


One day, Mr. Warm went to visit his young friend, Mr. Hope and began to discuss with him about his search for revival. I desire revival - he said. I had been hot and I had been cold but I am now lukewarm. I experienced the revival fire of the Lord and I felt his gentle breeze of revival. I was hot and cold but I am now lukewarm. Mr. Hope, I need revival – he said. I am materially rich and have greatly increased in goods but I desire heavenly riches. In my spirit, I feel poor, wretched, miserable, blind and naked. Oh, how I long for revival – he said.


Then Mr. Hope replied him and said - My father told me that God lives on the mountain top, and that he revives those who go to the mountain top to seek him. He told me that there are three items needed for revival. He said – firstly, you must seek to get the gold tried in fire from the Lord. Secondly, you must desire to be clothed with a white raiment from the Lord. Lastly, you must desire to be anointed with eye-salve on your eyes by the Lord. I was also told that anyone who seeks revival must be willing to receive the Lord and sup with him. Mr. Warm, are you ready for all these things? – He said.


I am willing – said Mr. Warm. I am ready to climb up to the mountain top to meet with the Lord. I am sure he will be glad to revive me. I really desire the gold, the raiment and the eye-salve. Thank you, Mr. Hope for the encouragement. I can`t wait to be revived. I will set out for the mountain top tomorrow morning. Goodbye, Mr. Hope, I need to go home to prepare for the journey. So he went back to his house and began to get ready.

In the dawn of the next day, he set out for the mountain. He walked and walked and just kept on walking by faith. As he drew near the mountain, three angels – Faith, Hope and Love came to meet him. They ministered to him and encouraged and led him through the gate that led to the mountain.


Soon, he was at the mountain top and met with the Lord. On seeing King Jesus on the throne, he bowed down in worship and told him what he desired from him. I need revival – he said. I was hot and cold but now I am lukewarm. I need to be revived. Jesus looked at him and said – I will revive you.

Immediately, he ordered for the three items for revivals. Quickly, three angels stood before him. Each of them, having each of the items. Jesus took the first item from the first angel and gave it to him saying – This is gold tried in fire. It is a symbol of true riches. With it, you will never be poor. Then he took the second item from the second angel and gave it to Mr. Warm saying – This is a white raiment. It symbolizes Holiness. With it, you will not be naked and ashamed. It is a protection from sin. Then he stretched out his hand and took the eye-salve from the third angel and gave it to him saying – This is for your spiritual sight. Now begin to see the way you ought to. Immediately, his eyes were open and he saw the glory of God.

Jesus then looked into his eyes and said – Today, I revive you. No more will you be called Mr. Warm. As from today, your name shall be called Mr. Revival. And so from that day, Mr. Warm became known as Mr. Revival for he was known throughout Laodicea and neighboring villages & towns as a man that was revived by God.
