Betrayal shocks us into a reality that something was never what it seemed. We lead ourselves to believe a lie - that the relationship was good or “a dream come true”. The signs were warning us otherwise. But we chose to ignore them, thinking that somehow, our “suspicious” nature was working against us. Thus plunging us deeper into the mire of self- deception.

We get angry and hurt when the lie is revealed for what it really is. It was never good. If it started in a lie, it will end like one – a painful death. There’s no way to fix it. It is what it is. What we learn from it is that we remain true to ourselves. We call it what it is, a lie, a treachery, a deception. We move on with the lesson learned.

There’s no reason for revenge. Just as you reap what you have sown in your own garden, a liar’s fate is sealed with every lie told. Perhaps this person’s weakness is the very thing that will prove their end. Eventually, they will realize the extent of the damage they’ve inflicted upon you. They will feel a deep remorse in their soul causing them to repent and change their ways. God is a God of Justice and He will demand an accounting soon enough.

You on the other hand must let go of the false imaginations that somehow you can fix this. Death is death. False is false. Nothing is just that – nothing. How can you change something that in essence never was? You can’t build anything stable without a solid foundation. The house built on sand will fall.

What is before you? I see a future. The sooner you let go of the past, you can move on to the future. Someone of integrity is out there waiting for you. You may have seen them already. Maybe they’re waiting for you to look up long enough to see their warm eyes and their longing heart for you.

Can you imagine that? Imagine it. Believe it. God is Good. But you must look up. You’ll see him or her. They’re just waiting for you. Can you imagine walking into a room and your mere presence lights up their face? Yes, you! Someone thinks you’re all that. That someone thinks you’re a slice of heaven on earth. Can you imagine someone thinking of you constantly, praying for you at any given time of his or her day? Oh, they don’t care if you’re skinny or fat, blonde or brunette, short or tall – all they know is that their heart just snoopy dances at the mere sight of you! All they want to do is hug you, kiss you, squeeze you, and touch your hand!

I had a puppy named Diesel and he was my friend. When he saw me, he ignored everyone else and just danced for me. He jumped, pranced and raced around the house until I kissed him. His sheer joy at my arrival knews no bounds.

Trust me when I tell you this – there’s one person who will act like this just for you. I’m telling you – there’s nothing you can do, nothing that will repulse this person. Their affection for you is immeasurable. This person cannot think of anything better (aside from being with Jesus) than to grow old with you. There are not enough demons or darkness to separate their faithful undying love for you. They’ll love you when you’re broke. They’ll love you when you’re sick. They’ll love you just the same when you gain a few pounds. They’ll love even when you’re a grumpy pain in the butt. A thousand drop dead gorgeous women can’t cause him to betray you.

But before God allows you to have this person, you will know how to be responsible in taking care of this person. Like Beth Moore said, “This is my ‘ponsa.” Moreover, she said that she has to be very careful that she doesn’t take her husband for granted. She knows her husband will move mountains for her.

You can’t buy this kind of love. There’s not enough blond hair coloring that can attract this kind of love. It’s all about the spirit within you. And that person knows it. That person sees God in you. When he or she sees you, they see the Holy Spirit within you.

Do yourself a favor today. Let go of the garments of your past and then, you will be able to enjoy your future.

Remember, with Jesus, all things are possible. You may think that no one loves you or you have to be wear the right clothes, the right make up, etc, etc, in order for someone to love you. I am happy to announce that Jesus doesn’t agree with your assessment.

Be encouraged. The best is yet to come.
