As I sit and contemplate
I watch the clouds dance in the skies
The birds sing in harmony
But my heart, it does not sing
I feel the peace of the world outside
Yet the pain of my friend tangles within

I speak to my Lord
Asking for his hand
To guide me to a better understanding
Why pain is inflicted
On one so young

My Lord doth guide me
My anger he takes
He shows me the wisdom
Which road to take

I hold out my hand
He takes it with love
Showing me the path
The way to my heart

As I sit and contemplate
I watch the clouds roll in
The rain falls to clear my soul
My path
His wisdom I hold

My heart sings in harmony
With the birds I hear outside
I know what to do now!
Trust in Him!
My father, My Heart and My Lord
