Hand Picked
Picked Out To Be Picked On

I Peter 2:9-10, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God; which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

What are you chosen for? What have you been picked out for? Are you one that causes division, practice mistreating others, utter things you should not, or do you pretend to learn but know more than anyone else? What will be measured to you again? Disdain, dishonesty, shame, evil, vain words, deceit, and everything else that hinders the knowledge of God from coming your way. Not only will you not turn to God but you are full of pride and oppression. Usually when a Christian will hypocrite and backbite that picked out one, it is followed by fraud and injustice, hatred being concealed in the heart.

Whatever true Christians are, they are hand picked by God to be picked on, and so it’s okay if the enemy of your soul sneaks a peep in at their character once and a while. The wicked one used though will forever be sorry because they are not hurting the one hand picked, but they hurt the heart of God as long as the one hand picked remains steadfast, unmovable, and abounding in the work of the Lord.

Picked means you are the prime choice, selected by God who directs their path in life slowly and carefully. God fills his vessels with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that they may navigate through the rough terrains of life as well as strength to endure temptations, aggravations and deception.

Why do people want to provoke the child of God? Why do they probe into the sustenance of their souls? Haven’t they realized yet that God is in control and his love ones is not so easily loosed or pulled apart from his love? They gather together to worship their God and that is with much deliberation and care. They also know that they will be criticized repeatedly because they are not easily bullied and teased. True Christians are picked out to be picked on and singled out for criticism. People will see everything they do but yet will never realize none of what they see when they stand in front of the mirror.

We must give special attention to God our Father. He wants to know that in spite of what you go through, you will not bow down to sin, but pick yourself up and continue the war. That is when he will intercept the hits you would have taken.

Have you been hand picked by God or have you been chosen of the Devil to do his bidding? Have you been picked out to be picked on or are you one the Devil uses to pick on God’s people?
